Train of Thought
Familiarity, the first myth of reality: What you know the best, you observe the least. ● Devotion, the second myth of reality: The faithful are most hurt by the objects of their faith. ● Conviction, the third myth of reality: Only those who seek the truth can be deceived. ● Fellowship, the fourth myth of reality: As the tides of war shift, so do loyalties. ● Trust, the fifth myth of reality: Every truth holds the seed of betrayal.

Motivation!
I've restarted my workout regiment for a few weeks already.
For starters, I did HIIT on my stationary bike. As per Wikipedia's definition:
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) or sprint interval training is an exercise strategy that is intended to improve performance with short training sessions. HIIT is a form of cardio which is beneficial to burning fat in a short and intense workout. Usual HIIT sessions may vary from 15–30 minutes. Most HIIT sessions have a 2:1 ratio in terms of time. For example, for running, a HIIT session may be something as 60 seconds jog, 30 seconds sprint.
Right now, what I'm doing on the bike is as follows:
[00:00] 10 minutes warm-up (low intensity)
[10:00] 1 minute high intensity
[11:00] 2 minutes medium intensity
[13:00] 1 minute high intensity
[14:00] 2 minutes medium intensity
[16:00] 1 minute high intensity
[17:00] 2 minutes medium intensity
[19:00] 1 minute high intensity
[20:00] 10 minutes cool-down (low intensity)
[30:00] End
Current progress: 30 minutes, 5.7 km (according to my bike's instruments)
I plan to increase the the time to 40 minutes by increasing the high intensity intervals. After 1 month, I will switch to a shorter interval (30 seconds high intensity, 60 seconds medium intensity). Ultimately, I aim to do HIIT according to the Tabata method - 20 seconds high intensity, 10 seconds medium intensity.
Come January, I also plan to restart my weight-lifting routine. It's been more that a year since I left it, and I'm back at square 1. Gotta start from scratch to regain what I've lost, and then some more.
My current eating habit also needs to be revamped. Too much empty calories. Need to revert to the old diet plan. Got to cut down on eating out, and start to learn cooking. Cheap, fast, simple, nutritious. That's the 4 keywords I'm looking at. Gotta be tough, but it's got to be done.
That one will be in another post I guess.

788 923 149 seconds later...
Happy birthday, self!
Life these past 25 years has been kinda predictable and boring, with a few exciting moments here and there. A few successes, and many failures. Some happiness, and much heartbreaks. Got into a good school, went to a great university, got a job at a nice company. Got an offer to go study oversea on a much-coveted scholarship, but declined due to the foolishness of Youth. Friendships made and broken. Got to know a few nice people, and also saw the dark sides of those close to me, which I never know existed.
Been in and out of love a few times. Currently feeling something that is unrequited, trapped in something that is not meant to be, with no foreseeable way of escaping; drowning in it, with no one to throw a lifeline.
Not much of a celebration, me being in this little sleepy town in the south. All my close friends are in that big bustling City. Went to town after work and had a big meal at Mickey D's. Bought 2 slices of cake on impulse, but haven't eaten them yet. Not really a cake person. Went home and played some WoW. It lagged pretty bad, so had to logout back to reality. Bummer.
Just now someone called and sang the birthday song to me. That makes me feel a little less lonely.
A quarter century have passed. Hopefully He would give me another 3. Although me being a not-too-good person, I doubt that will happen. Hehe. One can always hope.

Sleepyhead
Greetings, Children of Earth!
Today I am bored. So let's try updating this bloody blog.
My officemates are starting to make fun of me dozing off. Just the other day, during the department meeting, I managed to sleep while my colleagues are presenting some stuff to the audience. The guy beside said that I snored, and another guy across the meeting table said that I made weird movement, such as twisting my neck slowly and showing the white of my eyes. I really didn't notice all of this. And the boss noticed it too! After the meeting ended he remarked about it, but fortunately he didn't get all pissed off.
And today, during a discussion between my colleague and a guy from PMM (that's Procurement & Materials Management), I managed to take a nap. I was there just to learn a few things, but the subject is dead boring, and I didn't have any clue on the project. I just couldn't make my eyes stay open. So off I went to see Morpheus.
I really need to start sleeping early. This Internet addiction and lack of sleep is killing me.
Yeah, this is pretty "skema". I just don't give a shit.

So it began
Verily, on the 16th day of the month of April, of the 24th year of my humble life, I begin my journal.
So shall it be.
So shall it be.
